BASIC is a community of college students who meet together for a home cooked meal, fun and games, worship, and small groups of Christian support and guidance.

BASIC's purpose to offer an environment for college students to become and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ so that the church and world are transformed. We meet every Thursday at 5 pm in Rogers Hall, Winchester Center at Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Coming up in BASIC...

To start off the new year, we will be showing several Nooma videos during BASIC.  Nooma is a video series from Rob Bell, a truly gifted speaker and minister.  Rob Bell delivers inspiring and honest messages in a simple yet profound way.  These videos draw viewers closer to God, and inspire good discussions.  Come and join us for good, home-cooked meals, and an inspiring word from God, Thursdays at 5:00 in Rogers Hall.

This is Mars Hill Church's statement of what it means to be in Christian community. It's a good guide for what we seek to create through BASIC

We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another, to carry each other's burdens and to share our possessions, to pray for and confess our sins to each other, to suffer and to celebrate together. It's in these sacred relationships and honest, loving communities that God transforms us. The way of Jesus cannot be lived alone.
