2010 Jamaica Summer Mission Trip

For our summer mission trip, will be traveling to Jamaica. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss! The trip will take place soon after the hustle and bustle of final exams is over. Dates for this trip are May 22-29. We will be helping to build a house as well as sharing Christ with those around us. We will spend a week in Jamaica, with one day devoted to tourist attractions. Fundraisers will be done to help alleviate the cost of the trip. If you want to know anymore information about being a part of this mission trip contact Rev. Kent Lewis in the Administration building, room 208, or email us at klewis@kwc.edu or jcarter@kwc.edu. The cost for going to Jamaica has been set at $500/person. Contact Kent if money is an issue! Deadline to sign up is March 25. Passports are required for this trip!

Upcoming Events for KWC Campus Ministries

Campus Ministries occur all during the week at KWC, around Owensboro, and there are even opportunities for long distance ministry. Every Sunday night at 6pm the Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets in the Winchester Building on campus. Tuesday nights at 5pm you can participate in CROSS (Christ Reaching Out Saving Students) which meets at the Daviess McLean Baptist Association Building. Every Thursday night is BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) starting at 5pm in Roger's Hall. All three ministry opportunities serve food and fellowship along with a study of the Bible. Campus Ministries Mission Trip

Campus Ministries traveled to Dulac Station, Louisiana, May 17-May 23. We assisted with disaster relief in this area from the aftermath of several hurricanes. Our main focus was to help citizens with rebuilding their lives through construction work.
Dulac Station is located on the Southern tip of Louisiana next to the Gulf of Mexico. The area has been devastated by three hurricanes in the last couple of years. Our goal was to alleviate some of the burden of the citizens while BEING JESUS to them. Jesus told us to GO, therefore we desire to be like Jesus as we assisted the residents of Dulac Station, Louisiana.
