Dear Members of the Class of 2010,

 

Congratulations on your approaching graduation! Kentucky Wesleyan College is looking forward to honoring your achievement with commencement and other celebratory activities. Please plan to join us for the following events:
 
Mar 1 – Mar 26  Place your order for cap and gown at the bookstore. The cap and gown will be yours to keep; please include your height and weight with your order.  The cost is $31.00 plus tax.

 

April 19  Tickets for the Farewell Breakfast, held on Saturday, May 16, at 7:45 a.m. become available in the Student Life Office.  Reservations are required and graduates may obtain one free ticket for themselves. Additional tickets are $5.00 each.

 

April 29  Caps and gowns will be available to pick up at the bookstore.   

 
May 12   Senior Picnic at the President’s House at 6:00 p.m.
 
May 13   The senior dinner will be held at the Owensboro Country Club at 6:30 p.m.  Invitations will be issued from the Alumni Office.  Call Joyce Ann Evans at 270-852-3141 with your questions.

May 14  
  Rehearsal for ALL GRADUATES will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Woodward Health and Recreation Center. Commencement exercises will be outside (in the Hocker-Hall Grove) unless inclement weather prevails.
 
May 14   Baccalaureate Service and Leadership Program recognition will be at 5 p.m. in Tapscott Chapel.
 
May 15   The faculty-sponsored Farewell Breakfast and Honor Cord ceremony for graduates and their families will be at 7:45 a.m. in the Hocker Family Dining Center.  The Faculty Chorale will provide entertainment.
 
May 15  The Processional Assembly begins at 9:15 a.m. in the HRC.
 
May 15   Commencement exercises begin at 10 a.m.

 

Seniors who have family members with special needs should contact the Student Life Office to make arrangements for their accommodations during the commencement exercise.

 

We hope you will attend these activities.  If for any reason you are unable to attend commencement, you should IMMEDIATELY contact the Academic Dean’s Office by emailing peggiegr@kwc.edu or writing to Dr. Paula Dehn, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College, Kentucky Wesleyan College, 3000 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.  In your letter, please state the reason for your absence and request your degree in absentia.

 

Please make any necessary hotel arrangements soon. When making a reservation be sure to check if that hotel offers a KWC discount.

If you are a current Kentucky Wesleyan College Student and want to take online courses, you must meet the following criteria:
 
- You must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA
 
- You must have completed at least 30 semester hours
 
To register for online courses, please fill out a registration form (available here) and turn it in to the Registrar's Office during your registration dates. We cannot take registration forms before your registration date, but we may take them after.
 
Please remember that students are limited to two online courses during the summer term and one online course during the traditional fall and spring semesters.

Kentucky Wesleyan College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order transcripts using any major credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.
• To order an official transcript(s), login to the Clearinghouse Secure Site.
• The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.
• Order updates will be emailed to you. You can also track your order online.
