Street Relief - KWC Athletics is co-sponsoring a Street Relief event on Friday, February 6 at 5:00pm in the HRC. All money raised will go to the local homeless shelters (Boulware Mission, Daniel Pitino Shelter, Oasis, Owensboro Regional Recovery Center (part of Audubon-Area Community Services) and St. Benedict’s Shelter). Everything starts at 5:00pm with hot dogs and bean soup. At 6:00pm it's BINGO, 7:00pm an Auction, and 8:00pm live entertainment. There will also be a chainsaw artist creating a piece to be auctioned off that evening. Along with a cake walk, there will be corn hole boards, ring toss and face painting. Lots of fun and entry to the event is free! Donations of can goods, bathroom supplies and cash are welcomed.

Stanley Reed Lecture - "Battle over School Prayer in America: Engel v. Vitale" will be presented Thursday, February 12, at 7:00pm in Tapscott Chapel by Bruce J. Dierenfield, Ph.D., Professor of History and Director, Canisius All-College Honors Program. Dr. Dierenfiel's prize-winning manuscript, "The Battle Over School Prayer: How Engel v. Vitale Changed America" examines the "wildly unpopular" U.S. Supreme Court case of Engel v. Vitale (1962), which prohibited government-sponsored prayers in American public schools.
